Teen Library Board meets Tuesday, Feb. 12 during all lunches.

 


HOSA will meet in room 9C at 7:45 a.m. tomorrow. All HOSA members are asked to attend and bring a friend. A guest speaker will talk to the group about future careers in Orthotics and Prosthetics.

 


Junior Pride meets Feb. 11 and 18.

 


Prom tickets go on sale during all lunches Feb. 18 – 29. The cost is $50 per person.

 


Seniors mark your calendar for March 5th for the Hill College Connection. Financial aid information, student activities, admissions, athletics and other information services will be discussed. For further information call 817-641-9887 ext 213

 


Need help deciding what to wear for Prom? Register for the Prom Expo, a community education event which will feature vendors for corsages, tuxedos and photographs. See all the latest styles at the fashion show, check out the make-up concession, and visit with hairstylists. Visit the community education link on the CISD home page to register.

 


The First State Bank scholarship applications are due May 2. The Drudi Marshall scholarship applications are due April 1. The Region XI School Employee scholarship applications are due March 31. See the counselors for further information.

 


 

 

 

Help support the Kiss a Soldier Campaign by donating a bag of Hershey Kisses or other dark chocolate candies. Donations are needed by Friday.

 


Would you like to win cash or prizes for just coming to school? If you do, then you need to hear what we have in mind. We are going to motivate you to come to school each day by offering prizes and cash for perfect attendance. Watch the announcements for further information.

 


The soldiers in Iraq need your help. The schools over there are in need of school supplies. If you with to participate then take the items to the library and place them in the appropriate box. Help make the school experience a good one Iraquian school children.

 


Drivers’ Educations begins Feb. 25. The cost has been reduced to $150 per section. Enrollement is open to the first 50 who register.  Call Ms. Centeno at 817-202-1419 to register.

 


Current events meet every Tuesday morning in room 224A.

 


Skills USA meets every Thursday at 8 a.m. in room 9A.

 


Beginning today, students may order the 2008 yearbook from Mrs. Davis in room 106. The cost is $70.

 


Attention junior AG students: If you plan to attend Texas A&M, the Corps of Cadets is holding its first ecer FFA program April 18-19 at College Stations. See the counselors for further information.

 


SPORTS

 

Boys’ basketball plays Alvarado here Friday. Game times are 5 p.m. for JV, 6:30 p.m. for freshmen and 8 p.m. for Varsity.

 


Boys’ Varsity soccer plays Kennedale here at 7:30 p.m. Friday. JV travels to Kennedale for a 5:30 game.

 


Girls’ varsity soccer plays Kennedale there Friday at 7 p.m. The JV plays here Friday at 5:30 p.m.

 


Lady Jackets softball scrimmages Lake Worth there Friday. JV plays at 5 p.m. followed by Varsity at 6 p.m.

 


JV and freshmen baseball scrimmage Timberview there Saturday. JV plays at 2 p.m. and freshmen at 10 a.m.

 


Varsity baseball plays Flower Mound there at 11 a.m. Saturday.

 


Swim teams compete in the region meet in Houston Friday and Saturday.
