The Cleburne Independent School District is committed to providing a student-centered, quality educational program where every student can succeed in learning. Every student shall be provided the opportunity to develop appropriate skills to function in our changing world.
Cleburne Independent School District covers 205.98 square miles in Johnson County and is located in the city of Cleburne, population 29,395, which serves as the county seat.
The District serves as the largest employer in Johnson County, with more than 700 employees. Over 7000 students are enrolled in Cleburne public schools, divided between eleven campuses.
Board of Trustees
Cleburne Independent School District's seven-member Board of Trustees is elected at large. As the district’s elected leaders, trustees represent the community as they chart the direction of educational programs and services and establish the standard by which success is measured. Responsibilities of the board also include establishing policies for operation of the district and for ensuring its financial viability. Trustees employ the superintendent, approve the budget, monitor expenditures, set the tax rate, and call bond elections.
